Day 8...
Lots of scheduling conflicts this month but...tada...day 8! Let's just say it started out a little bumpy with a RAIN STORM on an outside shoot day and a ruined picnic! Oh well...now I can say I've been rained out. We made the best of it and scouted a theatre for one of the proposal scenes and ate at a great little NY deli, Morty's in Long Beach. Then the sun peeked out and we headed toward Rolling Hills Prep to start our classroom scenes. I want to acknowledge Tom, Myrna and all of the Rolling Hills Prep staff and students who have helped us make our films with fantastic locations.
For those of you who don't know, RHP let us shoot the majority of LOOK @ ME at their new campus last year. This year we shot some classroom scenes and involved their drama department in some of the roles. Great job Tristan and Tamar! We also saw some students who helped last year, Chandler and Owen.
We started with a scene of Chris all depressed in his classroom and moved to Jennifer's interview with Virgil in her 3rd grade classroom and finally the flashback of Chris's first kiss and subsquent beating!Chris Pentzell was on set to create theroms and realistic math stuff ;) Myrna rehearsed our new actors. Michael, Tarina, Todd and Sandy worked with Owen (shadowing them) setting up the scene. Then Jeff got all "teachery".

Everything went great! Todd always manages to keep things on time so we finished up in six hours today.
Banzai, my good friend and quite an amazing stunt coordinator came and gave Brooklyn and Nic some pointers on their fight scene. Then we all had a pizza break before moving on to the little kids which were a combination of Brooklyn's little school friends and cousin.
Briana, Ana, Kayla, Sydnei, Ian and Luc had fun being out of control kids with Ronna (Jennifer). Then we ended with Brooklyn punching and wacking Nic with a moose stick!
