Day 25...That's a wrap !!!

How many weddings does it take for Chris and Kristen to finally tie the knot? It's like a soap opera, this WEDDING VIDEO movie. What do you think Mr. Swan?

Who's sleeping with who? Which marriage will last and which is obviously doomed! How many meddling people do two people need in their lives? Can this thing go on and on for who knows how many years or "episodes"..."sequels" in the motion picture handbook. Enough of that rant... On to the special thanks...which is almost as long!

This was truly a blast taking Chris's project and turning it into a reality. There is not one weak performance in this entire project. Someone told me the other day, that everyone owns the character they are and each and everyone would interest you beyond what we see here. There are some outstanding, breakout performances but I'll let you discover those on your own...

Get a load of our lovely bridesmaids and groomsmen! Wow...they make quite a group!

Sandy and I are amazed everytime we sit back and take a look at the wardrobe and production design of the film. Many things are coincidental but are striking none the less.

My favorite story so far is the Michigan clothes for the dinner scene. Sandy was coming out of Tula's shop and almost ran into a guy wearing a Michigan sweatshirt. We needed the stuff for the next day and had been having a really tough time finding it local in S. Calif. So she asked this guy if he went there, he thought she was alum and talked her up, they realized they were neighbors, she told him about the film and he ended up letting her borrow a bunch of his Michigan clothes for the project! Is that good karma or what? We have good Karma all the way around...let me tell ya:)

Here's another thing to consider...Cinnamon may appear to be the more scary of the two, but I think most people wouldn't want to get in a dark alley with Lara! There's a reason her face is scrambled in most of the movie! Of course, in real life, the lovely Sophia is NOTHING like her on screen character ;)

Behind the scenes...I have to thank all of our makeup crew...a shared project between Karma, Tula and Candace. Thumbs up to you all for a fantastic job the entire show. Okay...and thank you Christine for doing your own makeup like half the show! You're a trooper. Again, thanks to Karma for teaching Christine how to do her makeup when you're not around. Not that she needs it...because we all know how beautiful she is!

More thanks goes to Sandy, my art director, costumer, prop master, script super/boom operator, location manager and above all else, Associate Producer! Also thanks to my co-producing, 1st A.D., boom op, scripty and co-partner of our BOSSY GIRLZ company, Christina! Not pictured here but doing a lovely cameo in the picture is our other Bossy Girl, Tamara! Many thanks to you both for coming thru in the executive producer ranks as well!

Jeff introduced Todd and I to a good friend and publicist he knew, Amanda and we all instantly clicked/bonded etc. Although just joining us for the end of the project in the all important area of marketing, she was amazing, organizing two press interviews with lots of our cast/crew and a radio show interview that lasted an hour and a half out of New York! You go girl! This is just the beginning! Lord help us when we get to the festivals :)

This is the perfect time to thank all the great people who helped us with locations beginning with the Ebell Club! This scene in the bridal lounge is actually Traci's office. She coordinated the shoot, Randy was there to help us the entire time and was even our "janitor" extra in the film and Jan owns the club. Not to mention some of the fabulous photography used by Nickson Photography, located in the same building. Kudos to you all for keeping such an unbelievable building in such great shape and letting us film there. We really appreciate it!

We also are appreciative of the bridesmaids gowns by Kim at Kiki's, the tuxes by Mario at Bill's tuxedo as well as all the other fabulous locations and people listed throughout this blog. This film is really a great little picture of Long Beach and the thoughtful, giving people that live and work here.

I want to definitely recognize all the production assistant/grips we have because they have done an amazing job for the entire film. Rebecca and Jim ended up being all around p.a./runners for the day in all departments (art/catering/grip etc). Always a smile on their faces, no matter what stupidity was going on!

Then there was our awesome CSULB interns, Michael and Alex and returning veteran grips Joe, Tanner and Ken. Thanks guys for all the hardwork! It's appreciated, especially by me, Todd and Tarina!

Lisa is another great example of a fine actress with limited lines! Everytime she's about to say something profound...


And then there is Blaine...the amazing, supposedly gay boyfriend of Kristen, played by the completely gorgeous Josh!

Look for him as John Smith in the very near future ;)

Family is always a treat, especially in this movie. Erin's daughter Samantha gets a loving swat from overbearing Carol as she tries to taste the cake...

Sandy's son, Brett, takes over a room to play video games and Brooklyn gave friend Ana and cousin, Briana a tour of the set along with key phrases like "lock it up".

Speaking of family and friends, today was a special day with lots of extras we know very well, mom, dad, Laura, Carol, Alex, Briana, Sherri, Leo, Frank, Curt, Skeeter, Madonna, Eddie, Ana, Sandra, Nell, Steve,Maria, Will, Leslie, McKenna, David, Douglas and Cathryn! If it weren't for good friends and family playing extras, how would we make these films look so darn realistic! Thank you all! We appreciate you making the drive and spending the time with us :)

As much as we love our real families, we also love our screen families. The Dillon's and the Cole's. Two polar opposites.

I do believe this is exactly the conflict Virgil S. Crumb um de esq. was looking for!


For all you humantarians and doggitarians out there, you're in for a treat...believe you, me!

The very last special thanks goes out to Todd and the entire cast and crew of THE WEDDING VIDEO for making this past four months a great little adventure in between other "set up" projects. Who knew...other than Todd and me...that we would finish our second feature inside two years!
