Casting Ruth...

Ahhh...the challenges of casting! I want to give Debra some extra special kudos here for all her work on this project. The casting job alone was daunting enough with over 50 speaking roles and 100 extras but when you're looking for a special person for a part and can't seem to find them, it becomes more challenging. Debra did three different breakdowns and we had some great choices but due to a variety of circumstances none worked out... So we asked a couple friends, got some great referrals and went back to The Complex for another session.

Wouldn't you know it, that the right person is usually right in front of you or within an arms reach. We cast a great friend of mine, Julia as RUTH and look forward to seeing the sparks between she and LEO, Chris's divorced parents!

Also, one person alone, couldn't handle the casting job so thank you's are also in order for our casting assistants, Ashley, Ben and Sandy! Stay tuned for Day 23~
