Day 15...

The day started with lots of prop acquisitions and a little bridal photo shoot at Kiki's Originals, a great little boutique in Long Beach, owned by designer Kim! She is handling all the brides maid dresses and wedding gowns for Kristen in the wedding. Our bridesmaids are; Lisa (Heather), Ronna (Jennifer), Kim (is our designer), Sophia (Lara) and Erin (Cinnamon).
We started our shoot at 4:30 in the afternoon at Bill's Tuxedo in Long Beach. Mario, the store owner, is providing all the tuxes not only for the scene but for the wedding (minus the jester pants of course. Those came from the fine folks at Norcostco in Burbank). The shoot was grueling with a very aggressive schedule and not enough time. Amazingly, we got out of their just thirty minutes late. It was bound to happen sometime. At least the guys were great. Thanks Mario and Mario :)We welcomed a new guest role, the TUX SHOP SALES GIRL, Dawn to the cast. I have to take a moment to thank everyone who drives to Long Beach for all these shoots, especially those valley people! Now you know what my life is like :) One day it will all be worth it when you see your happy, quirky, smiling faces on the big screen. Don't forget...boycot mobile/exxon. Reduce our gas prices. Okay...enough.
Finally, Jeremy (Robert) showed up with a huge nasty bandage and some sort of paralysis to his face. Thank goodness it was in the script! After that whole ordeal, we all needed a meal, so we headed to Second Street and had dinner at The Shore House. I took care of craft for later (getting refills from our most excellent craft service person...MOM) along with meeting everyone at the next location...THE BELMONT ATHLETIC CLUB.
Yes for those of you regular readers of the blog, this is our second trip back to the BAC thanks to manager Jeff and owner John. It was awesome and much appreciated. Thanks guys!
We also welcomed new d.p. David to the crew. He did some work with us on Look@Me and did a 'heck of a job'. Unfortunately, he has another gig, so we will have a new surprise d.p. for our next shoot. Stay tuned. This is going to turn into a pop quiz. How many d.p.'s does it take to make a wedding video? Thanks for filling in David. Good luck on your next shoot. Maybe we'll see you again.
Returning from a serious deviated septum surgery is Ken, our key grip! He handled the shoot alone until we got to the BAC and then Nate joined with friend, Julian. Welcome back CSULB guys! Love having you around...
Then somewhere around 1:30am (yes in the wee hours of the morning) we started the first scene of the movie...with Kristen and her cameraman (Ben). Couple notes about Ben...he was cast in Look@Me but had to go on vacation and lost the role and was subsequently and severly depressed. When we cast him again as 'the CAMERAMAN' he vowed to cancel any vacation that stood in his way of new found fame and fortune. Naturally we weren't going to let him do that...but hey, thanks for the commitment Ben! By the way...another pop quiz question...Ben has the first line of the movie.A very special thank you to my friends over at A-VIDD in Long Beach for the screaming deal on a professional camera and mic! What would a little local indie producer like me do without great buddies at my local audio/video production facility? Pay higher prices. Thanks again Octavio and Chris. You ROCK!
Now, we also had a couple new and talented actors join us as Wildcast team members, Ayo and Angel. And we introduced personal trainer, Justin (of the BAC) as yet a third Wildcat. All three did a great job getting picked on by our bossy, bitchy news caster, Kristen Dillon played by the ever lovely, Christine.

p.s. Christine...Brooklyn knows all about the little 'incident' but don't worry...eight year olds keep secrets............NOT!
